Hi, I’m Ceninye! I’m a portrait photographer from Monrovia, Liberia, and for me, fine art doesn't mean stiff and pretentious. I want your photographs to be genuine, spectacular perhaps because they are sincere. I'm observant by nature. So instead of imposing a look on you, I intentionally watch how you two interact, attending and waiting to capture your joy. The most memorable things happen in the in-between, the breath before saying “I do,” or the laughter that follows. My work carries a fine-art, contemporary feel that will blend with your energy to produce photographs that are unique and personal to you. There’s wonder in paying attention.

My work has been exhibited nationally including at the Griffin Museum of Photography, the Design Museum of Chicago, and the Gene Siskel Film Center. I’m a YoungArts Winner and U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. Please feel free to check out my personal work at ceninye.com
